VBS Time Again!

VBS is underway and again this year, our mission is Operation Christmas Child and the kids are super excited!! They again set a goal of bringing enough items to fill 100 boxes and so far, they have collected enough for 60 boxes! Woohoo!! It is such a blessing to see the kids really get into giving and their carefully thought out items warm my heart! Here is a picture of their pile of items tonight. Can't wait to see it tomorrow!

And I think my favorite item of the night was these awesome buckets of individually wrapped peppermints! Love it!

  1. Our church also used VBS Crafts to put in shoeboxes. We made no-sew bags and a game for the children. We also had donated to us, silly bands, washcloths, soap and children's jewelry. So we've got a good head start on filling our shoeboxes.

  2. The church I used to go to ask for different donations of items each month. For the month of July it is all about school supplies like pencils, pens, erasers, etc. The following month will be something different like wash clothes and soap or socks and shirts. They collect a lot of items each year and are ready when November comes around.
